President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, against the backdrop of “forced blackouts,” called on the city authorities “not to waste energy.” According to him, stabilization power supply stops have to be used everywhere.

“This is done so that everyone has access to energy in conditions when its production is not possible in sufficient volume,” – the leader of the country explained in a video address.

The politician urged fellow citizens to consume energy “very consciously”, and addressed the mayors of cities and heads of communities separately.

“Please make sure that energy is not wasted. Now is definitely not the time for flashy shop windows and signs,” Zelensky stated.

Recall that on the morning of October 23, nine regions of Ukraine were left without electricity after strikes on energy facilities. Residents are urged to give up household appliances during peak hours.

Massive blow to Ukraine

On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with the Security Council, at which he stated that the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which was carried out on October 8 by the Ukrainian special services, should not be left unanswered. At the suggestion of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and according to the plan of the General Staff, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike with long-range precision weapons on energy, military command and communications facilities of Ukraine. As noted in the Ministry of Defense, all goals were achieved.

On October 11, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian Armed Forces continued to deliver a massive strike on military command and energy facilities in Ukraine.

On October 15, Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Defense Ministry had not hit seven more targets in Ukraine out of 29 planned. And on October 17, it became known that the Russian military continued to strike at military command and control facilities and the energy system of Ukraine.
