German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for preventing the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine. He made such a statement during a speech at the congress of the Social Democratic Party of Germany in Berlin.
“It is unacceptable, unacceptable to use nuclear weapons in this conflict. We call on Russia to clearly state that it will not do this. This will become a line that cannot be crossed,” – said the chancellor.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons is small, but the West, if anything, will react sharply. Earlier, the Kremlin said that Western countries are deliberately inflating the topic of nuclear weapons. According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, the West needs this to discredit our country. On October 30, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted the emergence of a large number of Western politicians seeking to speculate and “play” with the topic of nuclear weapons. Our country has repeatedly stressed that it does not threaten anyone with nuclear weapons.
