Indonesia has abandoned the tradition of taking a group photo at the G20 summit. The reason was the disagreement between the participants of the event because of the situation in Ukraine.

The so-called “family photo” in which world leaders pose together at major summits will be canceled at the upcoming meeting, according to the Independent.

The decision was made due to geopolitical tensions around the situation in Ukraine.

In addition, numerous disagreements arose between the participants of the summit. In the future, they may influence the adoption of a joint statement at the end of the summit in Bali.

The meeting of the G20 leaders will take place on November 15-16 on the Indonesian island of Bali. On November 1, it became known that the Russian Federation and the United States of America would not contact during the summit.

Russia at the G20 summit will be represented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
