Neural networks could not draw Carlson

The skills of recognizing and generating neural networks could not master the task of drawing the character of the children’s fairy tale Astrid Lindgren Carlson. Instead of the usual eye “men in the prime of life” with a propeller behind the neural networks, they gave out a series of absurd variations.

The idea to generate Carlson using artificial intelligence originated in one of the Telegram channels. Soon the idea turned into a challenge that captured many people. The result was creepy-looking characters that the neural networks drew on, including entire helicopters behind their backs, and some of the images were made in the style of “Mad Max”.

Neither a detailed description nor any other actions helped to make a relatively believable picture with Carlson.

Previously, the neural network found errors in the world’s masterpieces of legendary artists. Most of all went to “Giaconda” by Leonardo da Vinci.
