Journalist “Izvestia” Igor Ulapov arrived at the mansion of Alfa-Bank founder Mikhail Fridman in north London and tried to find out if the owner was now at home.

According to the correspondent, the founder of the bank bought this palace for 65 million pounds and has been living here for the last 6 years. The London authorities agreed to sell the building only on the condition that Friedman completely restore it. At the moment, the work is almost completed.

The oldest Victorian mansion is perfectly visible from afar in good weather. There is a high fence around the building, and there is no light in the windows. The surrounding area is lit, but the estate itself and the outbuildings are also pitch dark. The journalist spoke through the intercom with a man in the mansion.

However, the voice on the other side of the fence did not give an exhaustive answer to the question of whether the rumors about Fridman’s arrest were true, and did not tell if the businessman was now at home.

Recall that on December 3, a TASS source said that the businessman was detained in London. The reasons were not reported.

Later that day, Friedman himself commented on the information about his detention. He stated that he was fine.
