Police go to Senator Ted Cruz’s home in Texas to retrieve a self-inflicted teenager.

Houston police and medical personnel were called to the house of a Republican senator Ted Cross in Texas Tuesday evening after receiving reports that a 14-year-old girl in the home was stabbed to the hands, self-inflicted, according to ABC13.

Soon the teenager was taken to the hospital. Who this girl is is unknown, although Cruz has two daughters: Katherine, 11, and Caroline, 14.

A spokesman for Ted Cruz’s office said: “This is a family affair and thankfully his daughter is doing well.” “There were no serious injuries,” a spokesman said. “The family asks that the media respect their daughter’s privacy at this time.”

The Houston Police Department said officers were responding to reports of a 14-year-old girl with self-inflicted hand injuries in the upscale River Oaks neighborhood of Houston, ABC13 reported.
