The head of the Foreign Ministry said that Putin’s behavior shows that he is still aiming for a military victory over Ukraine, but he can only hope for a miracle.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged the country’s allies not to fear the possible collapse of the Russian state as a result of the war launched by Kremlin head Vladimir Putin. The Wall Street Journal writes about it.
Kuleba, “I call on the world not to be afraid of the collapse of Russia. If the wheels of history start to turn, no one can change this.”
He stated that Ukraine would never accept a peaceful solution that would put the occupied territories, including Crimea, under Moscow’s control.
“Instead of thinking about how to help Russia survive and become a normal member of the international community, it’s time to accept the fact that this Russia cannot be a normal member of the international community,” he said.
At the same time, he is convinced that it is the Russian people that will lead the Russian Federation to disintegration.
Objectives of Ukraine in the war against Russia
As for Ukraine, Kuleba said that as long as Ukraine is fighting for existence, it will not back down.
“First of all, in the liberation of our lands, we aim to carry out attacks on targets in the occupied territory of Ukraine,” said the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
But he said it was wrong to think that Ukraine allegedly did not have the right to strike on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to him, Ukraine should not be a victim forever. Kyiv will liberate all occupied territories from Moscow’s control, both militarily and diplomatically. However, Kuleba did not begin to make predictions about when exactly that would happen.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that if the issue of territorial integrity of Ukraine begins, it will not be the subject of negotiations with Russia.
“We’ve suffered a lot in the past nine months,” said Kuleba.
Journalists noted that the 2014 and 2015 Minsk ceasefire agreements, which placed parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions under de facto control of Russia, showed that negotiations with Moscow were futile.
Also, Kuleba said that Putin’s behavior shows that he is aiming for military victory over Ukraine, but he can hope for a miracle.
Previously Focus He wrote that WP named Akhmetov the main private donor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Journalists write that Russian missile attacks destroyed many important infrastructure facilities belonging to the Ukrainian oligarchs.
We also remember that Zelensky said that peacetime in Ukraine could come as early as next year. The President thanked “all our friends in Europe” who helped maintain stability in Ukraine and helped millions of people survive the war.
