The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that France’s rhetoric on Ukraine, which is formed by President Macron’s peace-loving statements and the diplomatic mission’s escalating military actions, resembles a twine on two chairs.
“In Paris, role-playing games in a good president, who cares for peace, and a bad Foreign Ministry, aggravating hostilities? Although it looks more like twine on two chairs,” Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel, commenting on the statement by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna that Paris is preparing to send another batch of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Recall that earlier Macron said that the future security architecture in Europe should include guarantees for the Russian Federation. The French leader added that Western countries after the end of the conflict in Ukraine will have to decide how to meet the security needs of each of the parties.
At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia does not see any shift in the EU’s position on providing security guarantees to Moscow. The Kremlin spokesman recalled that the Russian Federation asked for security guarantees before the start of the JMD, but the United States and NATO refused.
