Ukraine is going to cover its energy deficit as much as possible thanks to imports from Europe. This statement was made by the Minister of Energy of the country Herman Galushchenko.

On Tuesday, December 13, he spoke on the air of the platform “We are Ukraine” on the sidelines of a conference to support the Square in Paris. The ministry cited the words of the minister on its portal.

“Electricity is available in Europe today, it is available. There is a deficit in the Ukrainian energy system, which we would like to cover as much as possible through possible imports”– said the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

Also during his speech, he called financing one of the main issues of electricity imports.

“However, it is important to have another solution – the ENTSO-E (European Network of Electricity Transmission System Operators) solution, which would allow us to increase our import capacity. At present, we are limited in volumes that are much less than our technical capacity”– concluded Galushchenko.

Recall that a day earlier, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky announced the difficult situation with energy supply in the country.
