Estonia will decide on the deportation of Konoshchenko to the United States within 60 days

The Estonian authorities have 60 days to decide on the deportation of Russian Vadim Konoshchenko to the United States. Now he is in a Tallinn prison.

Konoshenko denies all allegations. His interests are represented by a lawyer. The Russian diplomatic mission is aware of what is happening. The notice of the detention of the Russian was received on December 12.

“On December 14, an employee of the consular department visited Vadim Konoshchenko in the Tallinn prison. The requests he made will be considered in the prescribed manner”– quotes RIA News message from the Russian embassy in Estonia.

Earlier it became known that the United States is seeking the extradition of Vladimir Konoshchenko from Estonia. The man is accused of transporting sanctioned goods from the States to Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry considers the detention of a Russian citizen in a third country at the American request unacceptable.
