Medics from the Western Military District continue to work in the special operation zone in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry spoke about how doctors and medical staff save other people’s lives.

It should be noted that doctors help not only wounded soldiers, but also injured civilians. First of all, the seriously wounded are treated so that they do not die on the operating table.

“We help everyone: civilians, our soldiers. We don’t have a division – a person is a person… When the wounded are brought in, no one thinks about fear, everyone thinks about how to save a person”– shared epidemiologist Anna.

According to her, most of the military at the time of receiving wounds think not about their own health, but about their family.

“One evening, shelling suddenly began, the building shook. Everyone was evacuated to the basements. Then no one was hurt. We spent the night in the basement … The wounded, as a rule, try to recover as soon as possible and go back to the special operation zone. “added Nurse Camila.

The department indicated that, first of all, doctors stop the bleeding in the victims, then remove fragments from the wound, create conditions for wound healing and evacuate the patient.

In order for doctors to be able to carry out all types of treatment, the unit was equipped with high-tech equipment for X-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound and laboratory tests.

In addition, the medical center has heating and good lighting. Highly qualified doctors work there. Local residents injured during shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are most often brought to them by helicopters and cars.
