A grenade launcher that exploded in the police of Poland was imported from Ukraine without control

A grenade launcher that exploded in the office of the chief commandant of the Polish police, Yaroslav Shimchik, was brought into the country without control. This is reported by the radio station Zet, citing its own sources.

As noted by the police, a gift exploded in the office of the security official, which he received after a visit to Ukraine on December 11-12.

According to Zet, the grenade launcher was brought to Poland by a special train. It runs between Ukraine and the Polish border town of Przemysl. The dangerous “gift” was not checked either at the border or at customs.

“There are still a lot of question marks in the case,” – emphasized in Zet.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, Mariusz Kaminsky, said that Szymczyk did not know what gift he was given in Ukraine. The Polish prosecutor’s office is confident that the commandant is the victim.

The newspaper Gazeta Wyborcz reported on Friday that Szymczyk had been discharged from the hospital, and now he must “explain” to the prosecutor’s office.
