Peskov: Patriot and other types of weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will become a target for the RF Armed Forces

The American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, like other types of weapons used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will become a target for the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

The Kremlin spokesman recalled that demilitarization is one of the goals of a special military operation. According to Peskov, Russia sees how the United States and other countries are moving along the path of constantly expanding the range and raising the technical level of the weapons that they supply to the Kyiv regime.

“This does not contribute to the speedy settlement of the situation, but vice versa. And at the same time, this cannot prevent the Russian Federation from achieving its goals in the course of a special military operation,” – said Peskov, adding that the supply of weapons to Ukraine leads to the fact that the suffering of the Ukrainian people may continue longer than they could.

On December 21, the contents of a new package of US military aid to Ukraine became known. The US State Department announced that the new military package for the Ukrainian army included HARM missiles for the Patriot air defense system, ammunition for HIMARS systems and armored vehicles.
