A woman burned down her house “because of the will of the devil”

45-year-old American Nikei Rivera burned down her house in Massachusetts “at the behest of the devil.” This is reported WFXT.

The fire broke out around 11 am on December 27. Arriving rescuers rescued two people from the burning house. One of them suffered from smoke and was hospitalized. Nothing threatens his life.

When investigating the cause of the fire, Rivera told the police that she herself set fire to her house.

“The devil made me do it, there are ghosts in my house,” the woman admitted and apologized for what she had done.

District Attorney Kevin Hayden stressed that, fortunately, no one was injured from the fire. He called the statements of the arsonist strange and stated the need to send her for a psychiatric examination as soon as possible.

As a result, Rivera is accused of arson. Now she is in a psychiatric clinic, where specialists work with her.
