According to Russian media, the man was planning to go to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Prior to this, he had made several attempts to travel to Ukraine via Belarus.
Employees of the regional department of the FSB in the Bryansk region on Monday, January 9, detained a local resident who was trying to cross the state border to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was written by the Russian edition of “Bryansk Today” with reference to the press service of law enforcement agencies.
As noted, the man, a citizen of the Russian Federation, repeatedly tried to travel to Ukraine via Belarus. At the same time, he planned to protect the neighboring country from the military aggression of the Russian state.
“During 2022, this person repeatedly tried to go to Ukraine via the Republic of Belarus to participate in hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian armed formations against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the press service said.
After unsuccessful attempts, law enforcement officials issued an official warning to the Russians, but this did not prove it. Already in 2023 he decided to make a new venture.
The detained person was taken into custody. A criminal case was opened against a resident of the Bryansk region, who sympathized with the Ukrainian side.
Recall, on the morning of January 2, Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, announced the allegation that a Ukrainian drone had attacked an energy infrastructure facility. According to him, the UAV attacked the Klimovsky district of the region, as a result of which the power supply plant was damaged.
On December 20, Bogomaz reported on the bombing of the Suzemsky district in the Bryansk region. As a result, the railway lines in the village of Suzemka were damaged, trains temporarily did not pass through this section.
