According to the Belarusian politician, the West is beginning to understand that “it has nothing to do with stupidity” – it is necessary to cooperate with Belarusians. He also mentioned that he is in talks with Chinese representatives on the creation of a smart city project.
Politician Alexander Lukashenko said at the technological exhibition “Intellectual Belarus”, which opened in Minsk on January 20, that his country has made many developments in the field of high technologies. This was reported by Belteleradiocompany.
According to Lukashenka, he was invited to the UAE, where developments in the field of artificial intelligence were carried out.
“Strangely enough, I stood at the root of the UAE’s work on artificial intelligence. Chinese scientists gathered everyone there, gave money, studied seriously. And they asked me to help them study in Belarus. I say “yes”, God come with you!” The politician said that the representatives of the Chinese side promised to develop a “smart city” project, adding that it was about an investment of 5 billion dollars.
The exhibition “Intellectual Belarus” presents scientists from the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, as well as developments in the country’s enterprises and industrial parks. It is reported that many know-hows are already put into production and successfully applied in the market.
“This exhibition needs to be shown to people. We always show a tractor, a car, we shoot, we blow things up, but in fact we have everything enough not only for defense / security, but also for peaceful life,” said Lukashenka. YouTube reports -channel “International radio “Belarus”.
The head of state underlines the importance of developing the field of artificial intelligence and microelectronics.
So, for January it was announced the appearance of a new line of locally produced laptops, but so far the level of localization in them is about 30%, but the country leadership expects to reach 70% by the end of the year.
“I’ve just read the harshest criticisms of our computer (mostly from our fugitives and maybe ours…), but the computer you criticized me for having this “apple” on the table was replaced by Apple. Today they brought your computer and put it on the president’s desk. <…> “I think the West is starting to understand that it has nothing to do with stupidity, that it has to cooperate with Belarusians,” he said.
Recall that Lukashenka told Lavrov that he was pleased with Ukraine. According to him, Western countries want to use Ukraine against Belarus, and also make some “plans” regarding Minsk and Moscow.
Previously Focus reported that Lukashenka, fearing assassination attempts, arranged personal protection. The Belarusian leader admits the betrayal of the local KGB, and therefore ordered the formation of the Guard Service PMC.
