Changes will be made to the school curriculum in literature this year. The corresponding statement was made by State Duma deputy Dmitry Vyatkin.
Vyatkin noted that many facts from the Gulag Archipelago were invented, RIA Novosti reports.
“Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov said that this year the necessary changes will be made to the school literature curriculum. At least a number of works by Soviet authors are Alexander Fadeev’s “Young Guard”, these are the works of Yuri Bondarev, a front-line soldier, the same “Hot Snow” should return to the school curriculum”– Vyatkin emphasized.
He also noted that some works that have not stood the test of time, such as works by Solzhenitsyn, will be excluded from this program.
Vyatkin added that no one would hack off the shoulder, the authorities would rely on the expert opinion of specialists.
Earlier, the wife of Alexander Solzhenitsyn revealed the family secret of the writer’s name.
The widow of the writer said that in fact her husband had a different middle name according to the documents. So, Solzhenitsyn’s father was called Isaac, while the writer is known to everyone under the name of Alexander Isaevich.
