Deputy Head of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Oleksiy Symonenko was dismissed from his post. This was reported in the Prosecutor General’s Office on January 24, specifying that Symonenko himself wished to leave the place.

As the authors of the Ukrainian agency UNIAN noted, the former deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine became the central figure in a big scandal. Then Symonenko, violating the order of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, left the country and rested in Spain for ten days.

“Prosecutor General Andrey Kostin signed an order to voluntarily dismiss Deputy Prosecutor General Alexei Simonenko from the administrative position”– the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine said in a Telegram channel.

It should be noted that in July 2022, Zelensky appointed Oleksiy Symonenko acting prosecutor after the removal of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova.
