Finland is preparing to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Finland will participate in the supply of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. But the country’s contribution will be small, Defense Minister Mikko Savola said at a press conference.

According to him, “the international initiative is moving forward,” but Finland’s military resources are severely limited.

“Finland’s contribution cannot be very large and significant”Savola stressed.

Recall, on January 24, the German media reported on the plans of the FRG to supply Ukraine with Leopard tanks. Also, Germany may give permission for the transfer of 100 tanks of this type to Kyiv from other countries.

Russian military experts have criticized this decision. So, Viktor Litovkin, in an interview with REN TV said that the Leopard is inferior in performance even to the T-72. In addition, Western countries themselves are left without protection after the transfer of technology.

Russia actively opposes the escalation of the conflict. The Russian ambassador of Germany said that with the sanction of Germany, tanks with crosses would again be sent to the “eastern front”, because of which not only Russian soldiers, but also civilians would die.
