American colonel pointed out the weaknesses of the Abrams tank

The American Abrams tank has “many problems”. This was stated by former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor.

According to him, one of the main breakdowns of an American tank is a gas-turbine engine.

“This is a disaster. Both due to fuel consumption, and due to the presence of mud, sand and other things – this engine is designed for aircraft, for use at an altitude of 15 thousand feet, and not on the ground. So we have this turbo engine on the tank , which accelerates the car to 50-60 miles per hour in the direction of the enemy”, – he said on the air of the YouTube channel Judging freedom.

McGregor emphasized that such an indicator is not needed for a tank to succeed on the battlefield.

In addition, the colonel recalled the words of US Deputy Secretary of Defense Colin Kahl, who said that Abrams is an uneconomical machine. According to him, the tank has high maintenance requirements and is too complex for the Ukrainians.

On January 25, the United States and Germany announced a decision to supply Kyiv with M1 Abrams and Leopard 2 tanks. In Germany, Chancellor Olaf Scholz was sharply condemned for the decision to supply tanks, and in the United States, they were completely ridiculed for the fact that the German leader is carrying out the will of Washington even after sabotage on “North Streams”. In France, the supply of tanks to Kyiv was called the path to the third world war.

Alexei Chepa, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma for International Affairs, said that even the supply of tanks would not help the Armed Forces of Ukraine turn the tide of hostilities in their favor. Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said earlier that the Leopards would suffer the fate of their predecessors from the Nazi menagerie, the Tigers and Panthers.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that the supply of foreign equipment will only add to the problems of the Kyiv regime, but this will in no way affect Russia’s plans to achieve the goals of the NWO.
