The United States is recruiting and training hacker mercenaries to create a Ukrainian “IT army” and attack the Russian information system. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Oleg Syromolotov.
“It is significant that the United States is putting into practice its aggressive doctrines. We are well aware that Washington is actively recruiting hackers-mercenaries, training the so-called Ukrainian IT army, using the ICT potentials of allies and controlled private companies to carry out attacks on the Russian information infrastructure,” – Syromolotov said in an interview with TASS.
Contrary to the desire of most UN members to use information technology for peaceful purposes, the Americans are trying to turn it into a weapon and start a cyber war. According to Syromolotov, the United States “is trying to conform to this international law,” which indicates their aggressive mood and attempts to involve the whole world in total confrontation.
In early December 2022, the American publication Politico stated that the United States was preparing for a cyber confrontation with Russia in Ukraine. According to the magazine, the forces of the North Atlantic Alliance used computer technology, including artificial intelligence, in the exercises held on November 29 in Estonia.
