The Russian embassy in Iran commented on the explosion at one of the factories of the Ministry of Defense in Isfahan. According to one version, the cause of the explosion was an attack by drones, one of which was able to fly to the roof of the building.
The first thing that the embassy noted was that there was no information about citizens of the Russian Federation injured in the incident. Diplomats continue to closely monitor the situation and are in touch with other Russian organizations in Iran.
“We are carefully analyzing media reports about similar incidents in other cities of Iran. We are in constant contact with the Russian consulates general in Rasht and Isfahan, as well as other Russian organizations. There has been no information about victims among Russian citizens. All Russian foreign missions in Iran are working as usual”– reported in the Embassy of the Russian Federation.
Earlier it became known that in Iran last night there were explosions at two factories – a military one and an oil refinery. Two factors are cited as likely causes: a drone attack and an earthquake.
Note that the earthquake occurred in northern Iran. About 600 people were injured in it, damage was caused to two cities and more than 70 villages.
