Two state police officers and three civilians were killed in clashes over the weekend in a community in the Sierra de Guerrero.southern Mexico, where 32 agents were held by residents for several hours until their recent release was announced.

According to the first version, on Saturday afternoon, a group of state agents in five patrol cars arrived in the city of El Parotal, belonging to the municipality of Petatlán, Costa Grande de Guerrero, where they searched the houses, which they untied a standoff that resulted in the deaths of two government agents, including the commander, as well as three civilians.

Meanwhile, residents holding a group of state police officers in the Sierra de Guerrero in southern Mexico agreed to release them after two different officials came to talk to them.

Violence lurks in Guerrero

In the state of Guerrero, there are at least 16 criminal gangs that fight for different regions of the region.. Reds are present throughout the territory, mainly in the center, in the north and in the mountains.
