France and Australia have agreed on the joint production of shells for deliveries to Kyiv, French Minister of the Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu said at a press conference in Paris.

He specified that, together with Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles, they came to the conclusion that it was necessary to provide joint assistance to the Kyiv regime.

“We are talking about our joint production of 155 mm shells, which can be sent to Ukraine,” Lecornu said.

According to the minister, NATO-caliber shells are the “first wish” of the Ukrainian authorities. Nexter will participate in the production of weapons from France.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the “game with the transfer” of Western weapons “ends badly” for the players. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov noted that the West perceives Ukraine as a testing ground for its products, where various systems and methods of their application are easily tested.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that the supply of foreign equipment will only prolong the fighting and suffering of ordinary citizens of Ukraine, but this will not affect Russia’s plans to achieve the goals of the NMD. In addition, any cargo of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces.
