On October 12, the FSB announced the arrest of eight people involved in the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge. The terrorist attack was organized by the head of military intelligence of Ukraine Kirill Budanov. Also, 12 of his accomplices were identified, eight of whom were detained.
A cargo of explosives left the seaport of Odessa for the Bulgarian city of Ruse. Then he arrived at the Georgian port of Poti and a few days later was already in Yerevan. After that, he crossed the Russian-Georgian border at the Upper Lars checkpoint, where the truck was unloaded at the Armavir wholesale base in the Krasnodar Territory, from where he went to Simferopol two days later.
Explosives went from Odessa to Bulgaria on a sea vessel at the beginning of August. Under a contract between two logistics companies – Kyiv-based Translogistic UA LLC and Bulgarian Baltex Capital SA Three Ukrainians (Mikhail Tsyurkalo, Denis Kovacs, Roman Solomko) and two citizens of Georgia were allegedly responsible for transporting cargo from Bulgaria to Georgia, and then to Armenia. All are now detained as part of a criminal case.
The explosive device in the back of the truck was camouflaged in rolls with construction polyethylene film. There were 22 devices in total, with a total weight of almost 23 tons.
