APU in a few weeks will learn in the United States to work with Patriot air defense systems

The training of the Ukrainian military in the management of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which is taking place in the United States, will end in a few weeks. This was announced on February 3 by the military attache of the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington Boris Kremenetsky.

“We are talking about weeks, I cannot provide an exact answer. It’s been almost a month since they arrived.“, – the Ukrainian Telegram channel Klymenko Time quotes the diplomat.

He also recalled that usually training to work with these complexes takes up to a year.

According to official figures, the training of about a hundred soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the base in Oklahoma, built on the Indian cemetery, began on January 17. At the same time, it was reported that it would take several months.

Recall that the United States officially announced the delivery of Patriot systems to Kyiv on December 21. At the same time, the Americans themselves doubt the effectiveness of such a step. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned that the Patriot, like other types of weapons used by the Ukrainian military, would become a target for the Russian Armed Forces.
