Rastorguev on Canada’s sanctions: “Unfriendly” countries are pulling up”

People’s Artist of Russia and leader of the Lube group Nikolai Rastorguev in the comments REN TV reacted to the inclusion in the sanctions list of Canada.

“This was to be expected, but I’m under EU sanctions, the rest of the” unfriendly “countries are pulling up! And how can this affect? ​​We were on tour in the USA and Canada 20 years ago. Even then I realized that I was uncomfortable there. I don’t nothing to do with the local “mishpuha”, for which all artists of popular genres from Russia work. And I made a vow to myself – never go there again!” Rastorguev emphasized.

In October 2022, the Lube leader was included in the EU sanctions list. Then the musician noted that he considers this recognition of his services to the Motherland.

Recall that on February 3, the Canadian authorities imposed sanctions against Russian cultural figures, politicians and media representatives. The list included 38 individuals and 16 legal entities.

Russian Ambassador to Ottawa Oleg Stepanov noted that Moscow would act on the principle of reciprocity and promised a response from the Russian Federation.
