Russian Yuri Martyshev, convicted in the United States for cyber fraud, flew to Qatar from New York. Qatar is one of the transfers on Yuri’s way to Russia. This was announced by his lawyer Alexei Tarasov.

“According to my information, Yuri at 10:00 today (18:00 Moscow time) flew to Qatar. He will fly there, change seats and will be in Moscow on Thursday,” Tarasov told the TASS news agency.

On December 20, it became known about Martyshev’s deportation to Russia. Recall that in the summer of 2017, Russian Yuri Martyshev, accused of cyber fraud, was extradited by Latvia to the United States. Then the incident was called another case of the kidnapping of a Russian citizen by the US authorities in violation of a bilateral agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.
