energy infrastructure company Kinder Morgan announced on Saturday that he had resumed work after fuel leak this week in petrol pipeline south of California which supplies unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel to warehouses in the southern Snowfall.
Pipeline operator Kinder Morgan told The Associated Press that The leak was discovered Thursday afternoon at the company’s station near Los Angeles. and that its CALNEV and SFPP West pipelines were shut down while the Houston-based pipeline operator worked to resolve the problem.
Kinder Morgan spokeswoman Katherine Hill said on Saturday that “operations to restart the SFPP West and CalNev pipelines associated with Watson Station have been completed and they have resumed operations.”
Hill said the company expects “pipelines to resume operations this afternoon and begin delivering fuel to relevant market areas later today.”
The fuel leak happened on Thursday.
A fuel leak was discovered Thursday and led the Nevada governor, Joe Lombardodeclare a state of emergency for the night.
The declaration allows the state to receive federal resources and waivers as it relates to the pipeline repair schedule and find alternative fuel sources.
Kinder Morgan’s latest statement says that the company “isolated the source of the leak at our Watson station in Long Beach, California.”
Kinder Morgan is still investigating the cause of the fuel leak.
Nye County, Nevada, tweeted on Saturday: “Systems are back online” and “fuel should arrive in a few hours.”
Authorities are warning residents against panic buying while services are restored.
Kinder Morgan operates an approximately 3,000-mile oil pipeline serving Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, and Texas, the company said.
