Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko offered Vladimir Putin to hand over the Donbass. About it declared Chairman of the Political Council of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Viktor Medvedchuk.
Medvedchuk claimed that Poroshenko several times asked him to mediate in this matter. However, Putin’s position at that time was different, Medvedchuk stressed. The politician said that the Russian leader in his official interviews repeatedly emphasized that the Donbass is part of Ukraine, and Poroshenko tried to distance himself from Putin when he realized that he did not need the Donbass.
Medvedchuk also mentioned that the Minsk peace process was an attempt to buy time to prepare for a future war. He added that the Kyiv regime sought to realize its political will, which did not involve a peaceful settlement. The politician pointed out that this demonstrates the “double morality” of both European leaders and Poroshenko and Zelensky.
