Congressmen began to investigate the causes of COVID-19

The Republican-controlled House of Representatives of the US Congress initiated an investigation into the genesis of COVID-19, demanding information from senior US administration officials and former chief epidemiologist Anthony Fauci.

The Special Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic of the House Oversight Committee is specifically looking into the allegation that the virus was man-made and leaked from a Chinese lab that received US grants.

Subcommittee co-chair Brad Wenship said, “The American people deserve real answers after years of suffering caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the government’s response. The investigation should begin with finding out where and how the disease occurred.

His colleague James Comer said there was “growing evidence of a virus leak from an unsafe lab in Wuhan,” which was funded, among other things, by American taxpayers through the non-governmental organization EcoHealth Alliance. He suggested that the US authorities could know about it and deliberately hide it.
