The White House is working to approve a $10 billion budget support for Kyiv. It is reported by The Washington Post.

“The administration (of the President of the United States. – Hereinafter ed. note) Joe Biden is also working with Congress to approve another $ 10 billion in direct budget assistance to Ukraine,” – the publication says.

It is predicted that the allocation of a new package of military support will be announced next week.

“It (the administration) is expected to announce another major military aid package next week.”– reported in the material.

It is noted that at the same time, the American side will announce the introduction of additional anti-Russian sanctions. Thus, the United States administration seeks to “avoid any signs of weakening the resolve of the West on the eve of the anniversary of the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine,” as well as to demonstrate that assistance to Kyiv is not weakening.

At the same time, the publication draws attention to the fact that a number of officials in the Biden administration believe that the conflict in Ukraine has dragged on and a “decisive moment” is coming for Kyiv. In addition, it is emphasized that after the victory of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives, the opinion of parliamentarians regarding future assistance to Kyiv was divided.

On February 4, the Russian Foreign Ministry accused Western countries of reckless support for Ukraine.
