Alexander Lukashenko admitted that he could not ignore his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The politician made the relevant statement during his visit to Moscow on February 17.

At the meeting, which took place at the presidential residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, Vladimir Putin thanked Alexander Lukashenko for coming to the capital of the Russian Federation.

The Belarusian leader, on the other hand, said that he could not ignore the meeting with the head of the Kremlin in Moscow.

“Dear Alexander Grigoryevich, thank you for agreeing to come. Well, really…”

“As if I couldn’t agree?”

“Well, we’re all busy people, there’s enough to do at home.”

Vladimir Putin said that on February 16, he watched Alexander Lukashenko’s press conference with foreign and domestic media, to which the politician replied: “It would be better not to watch. Probably sad …”.

The Kremlin head assured that he supports the “approaches and principles” to which the Belarusian leader adheres.

“As we have agreed, we will devote most of our time to a large-format meeting with our colleagues and governments. As usual, we will talk about the full spectrum of our relations. Including security and military cooperation,” said Putin. At a meeting with Lukashenka.

It should be noted that on February 16, a press conference of Alexander Lukashenko was held in Minsk, which was attended by representatives of foreign and state media. In a conversation with journalists, the Belarusian politician threatened Ukraine with a land invasion by the Belarusian army and the RF Armed Forces.

Alexander Lukashenko also repeated the propaganda thesis of the Russian media at the press conference and stated that the West is responsible for the total invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Armed Forces. The politician also accused Kiev’s allies of unwillingness to stop hostilities and resume peaceful dialogue with the Kremlin.
