“Absolutely wrong calculation”: China did not remove arms shipments to Russia from agenda – Pentagon

According to Sabrina Singh, it is not yet clear whether China is providing military aid to Russia. But Beijing continues to think about it.

China has kept sending various types of weapons to Russia on the agenda in order to wage a more effective war with Ukraine. But if that happens, the PRC will face serious consequences. Sabrina Singh, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary, said this, writes CNN.

For China, providing military aid to Russia “would certainly be a miscalculation,” he said.

“[Мы] “I have not seen that they are currently providing military assistance to Russia for the war (China, ed.), but they have not taken it off the agenda,” he said.

He also noted that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with his counterparts in Germany last week to discuss the issue.

Ukrinform also reported that Sabrina Singh, speaking to reporters, said that the US continues to communicate with the Russian side, but does not discuss any issues related to its war with Ukraine.

“But we don’t have any conversations with senior Russian officials about the war in Ukraine,” a Pentagon spokesperson said.

According to him, Ukraine has the right to be a part of all negotiations related to the war on its territory.

“This is Putin’s war, he chose to go to war against his neighbor Ukraine,” Singh said.

Earlier it was reported that China is preparing a “position” for a major war in Ukraine. Chinese diplomats will stress the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. Beijing has repeatedly accused a “third party” of disrupting peace talks between Kiev and Moscow.

The Wall Street Journal also wrote that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Putin in the coming months. The Chinese leader is expected to use his visit to Moscow to lead the Russian Federation to peace talks.
