English robbery: A man wanted to “make money” for a funeral, but ended up in jail instead of a cemetery.

Adam Gilbert claimed he robbed the post office and Halifax branch with a fake gun to raise money for his funeral.

Adam Gilbert intimidated buyers with a pair of gun raids he conducted in the town of Bootle, Merseyside, in May and June last year. He desperately opened fire to scare the staff into giving him the money. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

A 37-year-old incompetent criminal has 21 convictions, including two robberies, one of which was when he took off his hood covering his face. It was noted that he left both shops empty-handed without realizing what he was doing.

“You got me,” Gilbert told police when he was arrested. In court, his lawyer arrogantly stated that these events were part of a “dysfunctional” attempt to pay for his funeral, as he had planned to commit suicide.

On February 23, a man was sentenced to ten and a half years in prison by the Liverpool Crown Court after a judge ruled he was a dangerous criminal with a high risk of serious harm to society.

Prosecutor Paul Blasbury said the first incident occurred on May 30 last year at the Halifax Building Society in Bootle Town, when Gilbert, wearing a hoodie and black snood, pulled out a blank-firing gun. It was his own branch and he even called the cashier by name and requested cash.

“He aimed the gun at the ceiling and tried to fire, but the cartridge misfired. He fired again, and the sound of the shot and the flash of the gun frightened the workers,” said Blasbury.

Three female cashiers and customers, including a child with a walker and a retiree, fled in fear for their lives, and the cashier he had targeted was injured by falling. However, the criminal left empty-handed, and two days later he committed a similar crime, but now at the post office he was again armed with a pistol.

She demanded cash, and when her request to fill her purse was denied, she fired her pistol at the ceiling, causing the staff to “squat and startle”. Furiously, he aimed his gun at the postmaster and at one point threw back his hoodie. After a few seconds, the thief realized that he had made a mistake and withdrew. Hearing the alarm going off, he decided to leave the scene empty-handed.

Ultimately, Adam Gilbert pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted robbery and possession of a firearm.

remember before Focus He wrote that passersby filmed the robbery of the Chanel jewelry boutique in central Paris. The four armed men fled, loading the loot on motorcycles. The cost of their “hunting” can be several million euros.

It was also reported that loneliness led the Japanese to steal thousands of holiday cards. The police released the suspect, but two days later he was arrested again for throwing postcards in the mailboxes.
