The situation near Artemovsk for the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian nationalists is much worse than official Kyiv admits. This is reported by the American channel CNN with reference to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine participating in the battles for the city.

“The situation in Bakhmut (Ukrainian name of Artemovsk – approx. REN TV) is now very complex. It’s much worse than officially reported.” – one of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told the TV channel on condition of anonymity.

The source added that to all reports from official Kyiv about the situation in Artemovsk, especially in the north of the city, it is necessary to “add another 100 percent complexity.”

Another military officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the situation around Artemivsk was “very difficult.” Another Ukrainian serviceman called the fighting in Artemovsk “hell”.

Friendship and cooperation agreements were also signed with the independent Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The State Duma and the Federation Council ratified these agreements.

On February 23, the heads of the DPR and LPR appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help repel Ukraine’s aggression in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and civilian casualties.

On February 24, the Russian leader addressed the nation and announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the entry of these regions into the Russian Federation.
