The Ukrainian authorities demanded to ban the popular game Atomic Heart, which was created by the Russian studio Mundfish. This demand was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.

The Ukrainian minister said that the game promotes the “romanticization of communism”, killings and supports the “bloody regime”. Fedorov sent official requests to limit sales of the game to Sony, PlayStation, Microsoft and Valve.

“A completely new level of Russian digital propaganda is the use of the gaming industry,” – wrote Fedorov on his Twitter page.

The first-person shooter computer game Atomic Heart was released on February 21, 2023. The action in the game takes place in an alternative USSR, where the mass production of robots that serve people has begun. The game is available on PlayStation, PC and Xbox.
