The commandos tried to ambush the police in Zacatecas, and five hitmen paid with their lives.

Zacatecas is a place where violence prevails, despite the efforts of the authorities to stop it and restore peace to the population. Organized crime does not rest, it plans how to continue to dominate, and one of the ways it has found is to eliminate elements of law enforcement forces, but not always everything goes according to plan, as happened in the city of Jerez when they tried to ambush the police, five hitmen were killed.

It all started when members of the State Preventive Police conducted a patrol in the community of El Mageito, suddenly SUV with armed civilians ambushed them and the occupiers started shooting at the agents, who immediately activated the protocol for repelling the attack, thereby starting a firefight.

During the scuffle, five killers were wounded by bullets and died. The police did not record the victims and the wounded.. The men in uniform called for reinforcements to confront the attackers.

Units of the Mexican army and the National Guard arrived at the scene, at that moment the situation was already under control, but hitmen who remained at the scene fled when they found out that they were outnumbered by uniformed men.and his whereabouts are still unknown.

After the area was cordoned off, the bodies were seized and handed over to the Forensic Medical Examination Service (Semefo). In addition, various firearms, chargers and cartridges were seized, as well as the truck in which the attackers were traveling.

Officials from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Zacatecas (FGJEZ) were responsible for opening the investigation file for these events, which are still under investigation.

Meanwhile, the Department of Public Safety (SSP) has launched an operation in the area that involves representatives of various corporations, both state and federal, to find those responsible.
