British general reveals humiliating truth about his army

Britain is no longer capable of fighting on its own. The government needs to accept this fact, Major General Charles Collins said.

According to him, if the United Kingdom fought alone in Ukraine, it would have long since run out of equipment and ammunition. A country will be able to claim the title of leading NATO member only if it creates forces that can work effectively anywhere in the world.

“The government needs to come to terms with the humiliating truth that the days of independent British military conduct of wars such as those in the Falklands are over and that the country’s future role is simply to supplement the troops of other states”– quotes Collins The Daily Mail.

The major general added that the proxy wars that the British government is now betting on are a big risk. Their political goals do not always coincide with those of the army.

Recall that in early March, the head of the British Ministry of Defense, Ben Wallace, admitted that the equipment under his department against the backdrop of the Ukrainian conflict “acutely needed replacement.” According to the politician, the equipment of the army of the United Kingdom is 15 years behind.

In this context, military expert Alexander Khramchikhin noted that both the German Leopard and the British Challenger are significantly inferior to Russian technology, and their number is not enough to solve the problems of Ukraine. According to the expert, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need hundreds of tanks, but if they get them, then the West itself will be left without protection.
