Donald Trump, who decided to re-nominate his candidacy for the presidency of the United States, said that the limits on assistance to Ukraine would depend on his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The politician’s statement is broadcast by the TV channel fox news.
“Trump responded that it would “largely depend” on his meeting with Putin, but stressed that “Europe has to pay,” – the channel broadcasts an answer to the question of what limits exist on the assistance that Trump wants to send to Kyiv.
The former head of the United States also expressed the opinion that the conflict in Ukraine is the national strategic interest of Europe, not the United States.
Recall that Trump is going to run for president again in 2024.
Earlier, Trump promised that if re-elected as head of state, he would call Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “on the same night” to arrange a meeting to resolve the conflict.
