Iran plans to open direct flights to St. Petersburg and Kazan. This was reported TASS Deputy Minister of Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Handicrafts of Iran Ali Asghar Shalbafiyan.

“We now have 11 flights between Tehran and Moscow. Soon there will be flights (from Iran – ed.) to Kazan and St. Petersburg,” – he said.

Shalbafiyan also advised Russian citizens to visit all the cities of Iran if possible, because each of them has its own attractions that are worthy of attention.

Along with this, the Deputy Minister spoke about his impressions of Moscow. He expressed regret that he did not get to see the sights, but he called the city itself very clean.

“When we drove in the evening, I really liked the illuminated streets in Moscow”, – he said.

In early March, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. Both leaders gave a positive assessment of the level and dynamics of development of relations between Moscow and Tehran. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including the implementation of joint infrastructure projects, the Kremlin said.
