Trump says US Attorney General’s allegations against him will lead to ‘death and destruction’

Former US President Donald Trump has said “death and destruction” could ensue if he is indicted by New York prosecutors in ongoing investigations. He wrote about it on the social network Truth on March 23, Forbes reported.

The American politician said he was “wrongly accused” and suggested that a lawsuit brought against him could incite nationwide violence with “disastrous consequences”.

Donald Trump added that only a “corrupt psychopath who really hates the United States” will file a lawsuit against him. He also stated that he is the “leading candidate” of the Republican Party in the 2024 presidential election.

On March 18, Donald Trump said he was about to be arrested in connection with an investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney. According to the politician, this is due to allegations that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about the alleged affair.

The former president is expected to stand trial in Manhattan after formal charges are brought.

According to the Daily Mail, he was supposed to be arrested on March 22. However, this has not happened yet. Officials in New York and Washington are preparing for possible riots and demonstrations, after Donald Trump’s call to his supporters to “protest, protest, protest”.
