Peskov: Germany is increasing the level of involvement in the Ukrainian conflict

Germany is actively involved in arming Ukraine, thereby directly and indirectly increasing the level of its involvement in this conflict. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“In general, these relations left much to be desired. Germany takes an active part in arming Ukraine, pumping weapons to Ukraine. Germany directly and indirectly increases the level of its involvement in this conflict. Therefore, such actions and decisions do not bode well”Peskov told reporters.

The fact is that earlier the publication Spiegel reported that the German authorities are discussing another increase in military assistance to Kyiv. According to the newspaper, the German Finance Ministry wants to agree on an increase in assistance to Ukraine to 5.4 billion euros. It is specified that the department decided to take such a step against the backdrop of heavy losses in Kyiv.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of the German federal state of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, also said that Germany’s decision to supply weapons to Ukraine left calls for negotiations unfulfilled. Now Berlin is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
