MIAMI – Former President Donald Trump vowed on Tuesday to “reverse the tax hike” if he returns to the White House to “stop the inflation nightmare” of the government Joe Bidenwhich he accused of being responsible for “the highest inflation in decades” recorded in the country.
In a video released Tuesday as part of his Make America Great Again (MAGA) campaign, Trump lashed out at Biden, accusing him of creating “the highest inflation in decades” along with a “radical Democratic Congress.”
“Now the inflation and high interest rates that Joe Biden caused have led to the Biden banking crisis, a catastrophe of historic proportions. I will reverse Biden’s tax hikes and regulation and return to a policy of job creation, growth and workers that puts America first,” Trump said.
In a 1:53-minute video titled “Biden’s Banking Crisis Is a Catastrophe of Historic Scales,” Trump, who resumed his campaign last January to run in the Republican primaries and run for the White House in the 2024 election, said that “America you need a president who knows how to run the economy.”
“We are seeing bank failures left and right. Biden and his congressional aides are directly responsible for creating this economic disaster. And with Joe Biden behind the wheel, it will only get worse. This is what is happening in almost all areas,” he said.
In the video, he also called the Green New Deal a “socialist joke” that involves investing in zero-emission energy sources over the next ten years.
Earlier this month, Biden unveiled a proposed 2024 budget aimed at attracting the working class by raising taxes on the wealthy and increasing funding for social programs, which would mean reversing the tax reform approved in 2017 under the Trump administration.
