Elon Musk urged to stop training powerful neural networks

Artificial intelligence seriously scared Elon Musk. And not only him. More than a thousand experts in the field of high technologies have signed an open letter demanding that the training of powerful neural networks be stopped for at least six months. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was among the signatories.

The authors of the petition believe that systems like the sensational ChatGPT are becoming too smart and even call them a threat to society.

They believe that the rapid development of the “non-human mind” may eventually lead to the loss of control over our civilization. And to prevent this from happening, they propose to develop common security protocols and control everything at the state level.

According to the forecasts of the American bank Goldman Sachs, in the next 10 years, artificial intelligence will put 300 million people out of work.
