The US believes that the Russian Federation can use hidden potential in Ukraine

Ukraine will not win in the event of a “war of attrition” because Russia has great hidden potential. Kyiv was warned about this by the professor of international politics at New York University Mark Galeotti in interview British newspaper The Times

The expert noted that the spring “counteroffensive” being prepared by Kiev, which the Ukrainian authorities hope to carry out quickly, is likely to drag on for a long time.

However, Kyiv, according to Galeotti, should not be allowed to “turn the conflict into a rough, exhausting war of attrition,” since Russia has great hidden potential.

Recall that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov has already stated several times that Kiev is preparing a counteroffensive, which should begin in April-May 2023. For this, as reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko, eight brigades of the “Offensive Guard” are being formed.

However, earlier Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky complained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have enough equipment to carry out a counteroffensive.

Former adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Aleksey Arestovich, warned that attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch counteroffensives would only lead to huge losses for Ukrainians.
