Louisville police announced on Monday morning that four people were killed and eight injured in a shooting at a bank building.
“We confirm reports of an active criminal in the 300th block of East Main. Please stay away from this place. There are several victims”, – said the police through their social networks.

“LMPD has confirmed the shooting situation in downtown Louisville. several victims. I’m heading there now. Please pray for all affected families and for the city of Louisville.”, he claimed.
According to authorities, the events took place around 8:30 a.m. local time, when emergency calls began to arrive at the police, where reported an active shooter at 300 East Main Street in Old National Bank.
After the shooting and the reaction of the police, the shooter was neutralized and the public was asked to anonymously report any details of the attack to emergency numbers.
“There is no longer an active attacker threat. Assault suspect neutralized”, the police said.
“Anyone with information is advised call our anonymous support line at 574-LMPD”, – advised the police.
Louisville officials and the Governor of Kentucky are expected to hold a press conference at 11:30 am to provide more details about the attack.
