The investigation later revealed that he went to a local lake, threw the knife and burned some of the clothes he had worn during the attack.
The publication states that Delbono’s mother called the police immediately after returning home.
He told the police officer, “My son killed someone. He’s at my house right now, but I can’t let him go anywhere. He’s here. I told him I had to do it.”
Delbono, who admitted to the murder of a 16-year-old teenager, denied his guilt and insisted he was protecting his friend. Immediately after the woman got a call, the police detained the man on suspicion of murder. As a result, he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
