Putin signed the law on electronic subpoenas in the Russian Federation (document)

Russia introduced electronic summons and a unified register of persons responsible for military service. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the relevant decree. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

“Gosuslugi” portal will be used for sending to those who have military obligation. Such electronic notifications are now officially equated with paper notifications.

The delivery will be deemed to have taken place from the moment it appears in the personal user account. The agenda is recorded in a single ledger. After seven days from this delivery date, it is deemed to have been delivered, regardless of whether the person to whom it was sent knows about it. Traveling out of state is also prohibited. This happens spontaneously until the citizen comes to the draft board within 20 days.

What does the law on electronic subpoenas in Russia provide?

On April 11, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted the corresponding amendments for every man from 18 to 60 years old. The register of persons responsible for military service provides:

• electronic reproduction of traditional agendas;
• starting the automatic mode of the military registry;
• explains which citizens must hold the summons;
• electronic summons is equivalent to the corresponding written form;
• military registration and enlistment offices have the right to direct citizens to the reserve without their obligatory presence or appearance at the military registration and enlistment office.
