America is concerned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may use the US weapons supplied to Kyiv for strikes on Russian territory. The corresponding statement was made by the Deputy head of the Pentagon for political affairs, Colin Kahl.
He drew attention to the words of US President Joe Biden. He previously noted that Washington is doing everything possible to support Ukraine, but the United States is not interested in direct entry into the conflict.
Kahl noted that the use of American weapons in attacks on Russian territory will inevitably lead to an escalation, according to Foreign Policy.
Earlier, he said that the conflict between the United States and China is not inevitable, the Pentagon is not interested in it, but it is not going to be inactive either.
He added that it would also be a conflict between two nuclear powers, and no one wants such an outcome, which means that no one should contribute to such an outcome.
However, Kahl stressed that China’s ambitions to expand its military and political influence in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond “threaten the interests of the United States, its allies and partners.”
